With the NFL Draft in the rear view mirror, there are already many teams looking to the 2026 draft and its top prospects. Many of these players will end up being massive difference makers for their respective franchises once they are drafted. Here is the top 10 of my first official first round 2026 NFL Mock Draft.
With the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft I have the New Orleans Saints taking LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier . He has all the physical tools to be a strong, tall, great quarterback in this league and if he has another stellar season at LSU, he will be in conversations to go first overall next year.

+ Live Arm, ability to push ball downfield
+ Solid mobility
+ Good rolling out
+ Looks downfield early and often
- Questionable decision maker at times
- Forces ball through tight windows pic.twitter.com/FeuFlWwWOr
I have him above all of the other quarterbacks and going No. 1 overall because his dad, Doug Nussmeier is the Saints Offensive Coordinator and pairing them up could make a deadly duo down in New Orleans.
It’s pretty clear as of now the Cleveland Browns are not going to be good next year and with their first of two first-round picks, they will be taking their quarterback of the future No. 2 overall with Penn State QB Drew Allar . The Browns likely would have taken Allar second overall this year had he declared for the draft so they would likely sprint to the podium to draft him a year from now. Allar (6-foot-5, 230 pounds) has all of the physical and mental tools to be the league's next Josh Allen.
Despite drafting their QB of the future in this year's draft in Cam Ward, the Titans are likely to be rebuilding for a few years. So, at No. 3 overall they will bulk up their defensive line and grab maybe the best defensive prospect in the draft in TJ Parker. The edge rusher from Clemson is a quarterback's worst nightmare. This past season he recorded 57 tackles, 11 sacks and six forced fumbles. If he can build on that incredible stat line this coming season, he will be a lock to go in the top 5 in next year's draft.
At No. 4 overall I have the Giants selecting Alabama offensive Tackle Kadyn Proctor. They also grabbed their QB of the future this past draft with Jaxson Dart and I'm sure they will want to give him a Christmas gift in April by giving him the best offensive line prospect in the draft to protect him and give him time to succeed in the pocket. Proctor is a unit on the offensive line (6-foot-7, 370 pounds) but has elite movement at his size. He only allowed three sacks during his sophomore season and if he can replicate that in his junior season, he will be a great addition to the Giants' offensive line.
At No. 5 overall I have the Jets giving Justin Fields one more season to prove he is the guy and instead of going quarterback, drafting Ohio State standout safety Caleb Downs.

The Jets would be getting maybe the best prospect in the entire draft in Downs who could sure up head coach Aaron Glenn’s secondary for years to come. In his two seasons in college Downs has been all over the field making plays. He has elite speed, quickness and intuition. His leadership also was a key factor in the Buckeyes' National Championship run this past season. If he can replicate what he did in 2024 the Jets will be getting a steal in Downs.
Clemson defensive lineman Peter Woods will join the Panthers at No. 7 overall. The Panthers are in dire need of establishing an identity on the defensive side of the ball and Woods can be that guy. At 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, Woods is a force on the inside. An excellent run-stopper who also has great interior force and pressure when pass-rushing, he is a no-brainer pick for the Panthers who are in desperate need of a guy in on the trenches of their defense to plug the middle of the line of scrimmage.
At No. 7 overall I have the Colts giving up on the Anthony Richardson experiment and bringing in someone whose uncle brought them a ton of success. The Colts select Arch Manning from Texas. The nephew of maybe the best Colt ever, Peyton Manning, the Colts bring in the future of their franchise with this selection. With his first full season as the starter for the Longhorns upcoming he looks to live up to the hype and hopefully play well enough to become the next great Colts quarterback.
With the No. 8 pick in the draft, I have the Raiders selecting Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa. The Raiders did not address the offensive line—a glaring issue —in this past draft instead opting to draft the uber-talented running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall pick. Mauigoa will give lots of gaping holes for Jeanty to run through and will help protect quarterback Geno Smith in the Raider passing attack. Mauigoa is an all-around slam-dunk perfect fit for the Raiders come next year's draft and will push them closer to getting back into the playoffs.
I have the Browns picking again at pick nine. This pick comes courtesy of the Jacksonville Jaguars trading up to get Travis Hunter this past draft. At No. 9 overall I have the Browns taking Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. After picking their quarterback of the future in Allar earlier in this mock, the Browns will want to give him a weapon so they will pair him up with Tyson.

✅ Elite route-running
✅ Explosive after the catch
✅ Dominated in 2023 (75-1,101-10)

Tyson, a speedy deep threat will be great at taking the top off of defenses. This past season he put up 1,100 yards and 10 scores on 75 catches. If he can replicate that his year for the Sun Devils, Tyson will be a top receiver in the 2026 draft.
With the last pick of this top 10 I have the Dolphins taking Utah offensive lineman Spencer Fano. The Dolphins’ front office came out this past offseason saying they need to address the offensive line, but did a very sub-par job of that. So, in order to protect their franchise QB, Tua Tagovailoa, adding a stout offensive line man seems like the logical move. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Fano has great footwork for someone his size and is phenomenal in the running and passing game. He will be a great blindside blocker that can allow this Dolphins offense to explode.
