The 2025 season is quickly approaching, and there are some senior high school football players across the state of Alabama worth taking note of.
Here is a look at some of those recruits:
Reed is entering his third season as a starter for the Bulldogs. The 6-foot, 215-pound defender posted 136 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and two sacks last season. He is a leader on this football team and one of the most underrated players in the state. He has an early offer from Millsaps College.
Dylan Jackson – Wide Receiver – Vigor High School:
Jackson is one of the most explosive athletes in the state. Last season, he took over at quarterback and led the Wolves to the semifinals. When the ball is in his hands, he is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He is such a dynamic athlete and this season he will be returning to wide receiver with the return of quarterback Sammy Dunn. Jackson is currently committed to Alabama A&M.
Sanders is entering his third season as middle linebacker for the Bucs. The 6-foot, 200-pound defender posted 91 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks last season. He is considered one of the leaders of the Hoover defense and one of the most underrated linebackers in the state. Sanders has offers from North Alabama, Austin Peay and Alabama State.
Frisco Robertson – ATH – Wadley High School:
Wadley’s 2026 athlete, Frisco Robertson is one of the most utilized player in the state. He is entering his fourth season as a starter, and he currently has 31 career interceptions and is within reach of the AHSAA state record which is 36 career interceptions. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound athlete has been in contact with Point University.
Kyle Greak – Offensive Line – Orange Beach High School:
Arguably one of the better linemen in Class 4A, Kyle is a 6-foot-4, 295-pounder. He has been a two-year starter for the Makos and a key contributor during last season. He is a versatile offensive lineman and even plays along the defensive line. Greak currently has an offer from West Alabama.
Pryce Lewis – Wide Receiver – Thompson High School:
Thompson’s Head Coach Mark Freeman describes Pryce Lewis as one of the most impactful players on the team. Entering his third season as a starter for the Warriors, he is primed for a big season. Last season, he posted 36 receptions for 413 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has early offers from UAB, Kennesaw State, FIU, Jackson State and West Alabama.
Kai Franklin – Quarterback – Gadsden City High School:
One of the top passers from Class 6A last season returned under center for Gadsden City. Kai led the Titans to a 6-4 (4-2) record en route to the playoffs last season as a starter. He posted 2,207 yards and 22 touchdowns in 11 games. The 6-foot, 170-pound quarterback has been in contact with numerous programs over the course of the spring.
Jacoby Quates – Wide Receiver – Parker High School:
One of the many weapons on this Parker offense, Quates posted 401 yards and three touchdowns last season for the Thundering Herd. He is a threat to stretch the field at any given moment at any point of the game. The 5-foot-10, 160 pound speedy wide receiver has offers from Arkansas State, UAB, Georgia State, and North Alabama.
The rising senior middle linebacker has a nose for the football and is solid in pass coverage. Last season, Pugh posted 70 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks for the 6A State Champion runner-ups. He returns as starter and leader for the Spartans and just recently committed to Alcorn State University. He is expected to have a breakout season under new defensive coordinator Skylar Mosley.
Second-year quarterback Malachi Adams was among the most consistent passers in Class 5A last season. He passed for 1,515 yards and 23 touchdowns. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal caller has been in contact with some collegiate programs across the country. His dual-threat ability and off-script passing make him one of the more dynamic athletes at quarterback in the Mobile area.
The Tuscaloosa County transfer running back is coming off a strong junior campaign where he rushed for 1,009 yards and seven touchdowns on 172 rushing attempts. He also added 262 receiving yards on 16 receptions with four touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 195 back is a force when he gets to running between the tackles. The rising senior has offers from North Alabama and UT-Martin.
