The Louisville football program's recruiting efforts in the Class of 2025 is starting to get rolling.
Jake Cook, an offensive lineman who plays for Westerville (Oh.) North, announced Friday that he has committed to the Cardinals. He chose Louisville over held offers from Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, NC State, West Virginia and others.
Cook's commitment to Louisville comes less than a week after taking a visit to campus earlier in the week for the program's Junior Day last Saturday. He's the second 2025 prospect to commit to the Cardinals following an on-campus visit over the last week, following Goshen (Ky.) North Oldham lineman Gradey Anthony.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman is regarded as the No. 42 prospect in the state of Ohio and the No. 47 interior offensive lineman according to 247Sports' in-house rankings.
Cook played a crucial role in Westerville North's success last season. He was part of an offensive line that helped allow the Warriors to rush for 2,020 yard and average 6.5 yards per carry. Westerville North averaged 342.5 yards per game, and finished 9-3 during Cook's junior campaign last season.
Cook is now the third commitment in Louisville's 2025 recruiting class, joining Anthony and Oxford (Ala.) HS quarterback Mason Mims, who committed back in late November. In the more immediate 2024 recruiting cycle, Louisville signing 14 recruits during December's Early Signing Period.
