Roughly 30 employees are set to be laid off by ESPN in a latest round of cuts, according to a report from Puck's John Ourand.

The Worldwide Leader in Sports has gone through several rounds of layoffs in recent years. Prominent analysts like Ed Werder, Jayson Stark, Danny Kanell and others were hit by the layoffs in 2017. Prior to the 2024 football season, Robert Griffin III and Sam Ponder were let go.

This time, roughly 30 employees are set to be laid off, in another round of cuts. This time, it's primarily off-camera employees that are set to be impacted.

According to Ourand, the latest round of cuts, which will see nearly 30 people losing their jobs, is due to ESPN's YouTube TV carriage dispute from last fall. ESPN lost about $100 million during a 15-day blackout on YouTube TV.

ESPN is currently going through another notable transition, with the acquisition of NFL Network. However, Ourand reports that the NFL Network acquisition has nothing to do with the current layoffs. The NFL Network employees that ESPN is obtaining are not expected to be impacted by the layoffs.

Other areas at Disney could ultimately be impacted by layoffs, too.

Our thoughts are with everyone at ESPN. Layoffs are never easy, especially when you don't know exactly when or where they'll hit.
