4-Star DB Chuck McDonald commits to Alabama

Chuck McDonald has announced a verbal commitment to Alabama football.

McDonald is a four-star defensive back out of Mater Dei High School in California. He becomes the Crimson Tide’s 2025 commit.

At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, McDonald fits the bill for what Alabama looks for in long defensive backs. He breaks on the ball with good closing speed and can make tackles close to the line of scrimmage with his anticipation skills. He also has impressive coverage skills with his ability to mirror wide receiver routes at times and his knack of jarring the ball away from wide receivers.
