The Kansas City Chiefs officially hosted their annual local prospect day on Monday, April 7, with prospects from 13 schools in attendance.
Those permitted to attend include local athletes who played high school football in Kansas City, with representatives from Raytown, Blue Valley, FL Schlage, St. Thomas Acquinas, Lee's Summit, and more local area high schools. Others include those who attended local area universities such as the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, University of Central Missouri, Missouri Western State University, Northwest Missouri State, Fort Hays State, and more.
Last year, the Chiefs hosted just 33 prospects at their local pro day, but this year features more players. They've added 20 more prospects this year, even with a few notable absences from some highly-touted local prospects, like Mizzou LT Armand Membou, Mizzou WR Luther Burden III, Minnesota LT Aireontae Ersery, Iowa State WR Jaylin Noel, and Minnesota WR Daniel Jackson. One reason for those absences could simply be that the Chiefs have already met with several during the pre-draft process and have seen them work at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
Despite some more notable omissions this time, a handful of the players who attended are still projected to be selected in the 2025 NFL draft. Courtesy of Chiefs team reporter Matt McMullen, you'll find a look at the 53 prospects in attendance, organized by school:
