There’s a new Michigan State NIL program on the way and it seems to be exciting for the players as we await more info.

Name image and likeness “NIL” has changed the landscape of college athletics forever. It seems like that is all anyone talks about nowadays, especially in the offseason.

Michigan State has done a decent job so far as an athletics department helping its student-athletes find and earn these NIL opportunities. We have also seen a lot of donors step up to the plate and offer many Spartan athletes NIL deals.

However, it now sounds like a brand new NIL campaign is beginning, and one that could get the fanbase involved.

New NIL opportunity coming soon

A new social media account was just created yesterday called Spartan Nation NIL. This account has made one post that I will share below announcing that a new way to support MSU athletes is coming soon.

You might be hesitant to get excited about this, but there’s one big reason I’m excited. Countless MSU athletes are reposting this message and saying how excited they are to work with this group. The athletes likely know more details than we do, so if they’re excited then I am, too.

My best guess as to what this organization will be is a direct option for fans and alumni to donate money to NIL opportunities. Many other schools already do this so it makes sense for Michigan State to catch up with them. MSU has a very large alumni base and fanbase, so it would be a smart idea to tap into those resources.

We likely will find out more about Spartan Nation NIL very soon. I just hope that this is the turning point that propels MSU to be one of the best NIL programs in the nation.
