The New York Giants currently hold the No. 3 overall pick in Thursday night's first round of the 2025 NFL draft. Assuming they don't trade the pick, they will likely be picking between Abdul Carter and Shedeur Sanders.
Travis Hunter would certainly be another option if the Cleveland Browns pass on him at No. 2 overall.
While Sanders would be an intriguing long-term addition, the buzz surrounding him and the Giants has died down. Carter seems to be the likely pick for New York.
With just over 24 hours remaining before the first round gets underway, Carter has made a sales pitch to the Giants about drafting him.
As shared by Giants Videos on X, Carter opened up about being from Philadelphia and joining New York to face off against the Eagles.
"Once I go to New York, I'm all New York - I'm going to have to leave Philly behind," he said.

New York fans will love that statement. Carter is clearly all-in on the idea of playing for the Giants.
During the 2024 college football season with Penn State, Carter racked up big-time numbers. He totaled 68 tackles to go along with 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and four defended passes. Throughout his three-year career with the Nittany Lions, he racked up 23 sacks, five forced fumbles, 13 defended passes, and 172 tackles.
Being willing to put his home city behind and be all about New York is a great sales pitch. Fans will find out if he has convinced the Giants to take him at No. 3 tomorrow night.
