"Happy Gilmore 2" will be here before we know it.

Adam Sandler announced on Friday that the official trailer for the much-awaited sequel will be released on Saturday, May 31.

And with that, it will give fans their first opportunity to get a look at Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in action.

Sandler initially revealed that Kelce would have a role in the sequel during an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in August.

"He has mentioned it and so we have a nice something for Travis. He is going to come by," Sandler said.

Then, Sandler made a guest appearance on the New Heights podcast shortly after the official announcement, where he revealed his initial idea for the tight end.

“We were talking about you playing my son while we were writing it, literally, like six months ago," Sandler explained. "We were like, imagine if Travis was my first baby, how funny that would be. Just a badass.”

However, they had to come up with another alternative since the movie was filmed during the football season.

“Travis, we’re gonna have fun, because the scene you’re doing is with so many great golfers,” Sandler added. “It’s gonna be amazing. You’re gonna be funny as hell.

“The movie itself, it just picks up from an older guy who’s played golf a long time. Some stuff goes on in his life. He’s different. Things are, he’s a bit of a mess when you meet Happy and then we kind of try to get his his life cooking again.”

Plus, Sandler gave Kelce the ultimate compliment at the "Saturday Night Live" 50th anniversary celebration when asked if he could rate Kelce's performance.

 "A 12," he exclaimed

"Funny as hell, funny as hell! No kidding, unbelievable," Sandler added.

What a way to start the weekend!
