With releases like the Air Jordan 10 “Red Steel,” the “Georgetown” 4s, and the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” rumored for next year, Jordan Brand’s 2027 calendar is already looking stacked. But you know what would really set the year off? A return of the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Black Cat” (Style Code: 414571-011) for its 10th anniversary.
Last seen in 2017, the stealthy retro covered Tinker Hatfield’s panther-inspired silhouette in darkness with one of the cleanest blackout executions Jordan Brand has ever produced. Whoever said beauty is in the eye of the beholder probably had these in mind. Let’s get into it.

Without question, the most popular “Black Cat” Air Jordan is the AJ4, but the triple-black AJ13 is the most accurate. Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Jordan 13 around Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname and persona, drawing construction details from the movements and aesthetics of the predatory animal.
While other “Black Cat” iterations rely mostly on a lights-out color palette to earn their nickname, the Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat” used both silhouette and blackout styling to create something special. Jordan Brand didn’t cut corners on the build either. Suede, reflective mesh, and premium overlays create layered texture that enhances the blacked-out aesthetic.
The good news? Sneakerheads willing to pay resale can still track pairs down today.
They’re not sitting on SNKRS and haven’t been seen at retail in almost a decade, but the Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat” is still available online through major resale platforms. StockX currently has pairs ranging from around $309 to nearly $670, while GOAT listings stretch from roughly $217 to more than $900 depending on size, condition, and availability.
Like most older Air Jordan retros, deadstock pairs and larger sizes usually demand the highest prices. Here are direct links so you can see for yourself.

If the Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat” (Style Code: 414571-011) returned in 2027, it wouldn’t be quiet. In the nearly ten years since its release, the sneaker landscape has changed dramatically, and kicks with a dark, minimalist approach have become their own subculture. That’s what makes the prospect of the AJ13 “Black Cat” so interesting.
The Air Jordan 13 already seems to be in the middle of a revival. The “True Red” dropped earlier this year, and the “Flint” 13s are reportedly on the way. That momentum matters.
Zoom Air cushioning, the holographic cat-eye emblem, and the panther paw-inspired outsole still give the silhouette one of the best blends of comfort and couture Jordan Brand has ever produced. Add the all-black palette, and suddenly the sneaker starts feeling like SNKRS crashes, endless raffles, and resale prices shooting through the roof.
Jordan Brand, bring these back in 2027. I can’t afford to pay $500 for a pair.
