The 2025 recruiting class continues to round out following the conclusion of the college basketball season.

After the NCAA Tournament concluded, much of the attention around the college basketball world turned toward the transfer portal as well as the few top prospects still available in the 2025 class.

Before Sunday, the top-ranked player left on the board was five-star prospect Nate Ament.

After narrowing his list down to Duke, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisville and Kentucky, Ament announced his official commitment to the Volunteers.

Upon the release of the announcement, the No. 1 recruit in the country, AJ Dybantsa, reposted the news on social media, sending a message to Ament.

"Longest wait of all-time over," Dybantsa said. "Congrats brudda."

Ament is listed as a five-star prospect, ranked as the No. 2 power forward and No. 4 overall player in the nation, per 247Sports

Before ever stepping foot at Tennessee, Ament had already signed an NIL deal with Reebok. He also partnered with Topps, a trading card company, to announce his commitment to the Volunteers on social media.

Dybantsa has been one of the most highly touted prospects in high school basketball over the past several years.

He was heavily recruited by powerhouse programs across the country, such as Duke, Kentucky and Kansas, before committing to BYU.

The No. 1 player in the class of 2025 has been committed to BYU since December 10, 2024. Before announcing his pledge to BYU, Dybantsa took official visits to Alabama, North Carolina, Kansas State and Kansas.
