The Las Vegas Aces are riding high with an 11-game winning streak and clinching their spot in the WNBA playoffs with a Monday victory over the Chicago Sky.

On Tuesday, the WNBA recognized Aces superstar A’ja Wilson with her third consecutive Player of the Week award. It is her fifth time winning the award this season, with the other two times coming on June 1 and July 1.

Wilson is now tied with Candace Parker for the second-most Player of the Week awards in WNBA history, with both having 27 in their careers. Only Tina Charles has more than both players, and she recently widened the gap with her 33rd award last week. Wilson is also now one award away from tying the Western Conference record for most Player of the Week awards in a single season, with Nneka Ogwumike winning six in 2016.

In the three games the Aces played this week, Wilson averaged 29 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, two assists and 1.3 steals.

Against the Atlanta Dream on Aug. 19, Wilson put up 32 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks and four assists. During the game, Wilson became the 24th player in WNBA history to score 5,500 career points, as well as the 15th player to reach both that and the 2,000 career rebound milestones. She was also the fastest player in league history to reach both points.

Wilson also recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds against the Phoenix Mercury on Aug. 21, which was good for her 117th career double-double. She would land her 118th against the Washington Mystics on Aug. 23 (36 points and 13 rebounds), notching her 10th 30-point game and ninth 30/10 double-double of the season.

Pushing for both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards, Wilson leads the league in blocks per game (2.2) and ranks second in scoring (23.2) and rebounding (10.2).

The Aces and Wilson hope to keep the momentum going as they wrap up their three-game road trip against the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday, where they have a chance to grab hold of the second seed in the playoffs.
