Edward Brewer snagged his first college football offer from Alabama on Saturday.
Brewer is an eighth grader at Madison Academy in Madison, Alabama, and he is a member of the 2030 recruiting class. His Alabama offer is an accomplishment his father considers special.
“I understand that with him being so young, it’s not really a thing that happens normally, so pretty, pretty special for him, but he still got a lot of work to do,” Edward Brewer Jr. said.
The eighth grader considers his Alabama offer to be a product of the work he has put in.
“The offer to me means everything because I know I’ve been putting in work since day one, and I know I have more work to do,” Brewer said. “What I think when I hear of Alabama, I think of a place you can grow as a person and as an athlete at the same time, amazing facilities, amazing coaches and overall amazing team. I just think that’s a wonderful place to be. You can improve there and can just become a better person, not just from the football standpoint but academically also.”
The Crimson Tide got Brewer on campus for an unofficial visit earlier this month when it kicked off spring practice.
