Alabama lands Washington transfer defensive lineman

Alabama football has picked up a transfer commitment from Caleb Smith. Smith is a former Washington defensive lineman.

The freshman is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and he attended Parker High School. At 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, he did not see playing time as a true freshman for the Huskies in 2025.

The Alabama native becomes the Tide’s third transfer defensive lineman commit.

Smith was one of the prospects, who earned every offer he picked up as a college football prospect at Parker with the work he put in. If that same work is displayed in Tuscaloosa in the future, he could develop into a great defensive lineman for the Tide.
