Edwards is a 2026 five-star safety prospect, who committed to the Crimson Tide on Saturday. He took to X following his announcement and shared his plans to push to bring Derreck Cooper to Tuscaloosa with him.
“Yk (You know) who I’m bringing with Me,” Edwards posted to X with a picture alongside Cooper.

The five-star running back officially visited the Crimson Tide in June. He has previously discussed his relationship with the Tide’s staff and how they had been in constant contact with him.
“It’s been frequently consistent, like every day I talk to them coaches,” Cooper said when discussing recent contact with Tide in the past. “They really want me.”
Alabama currently has commitments from two 2026 running backs but would for sure welcome Cooper with open arms.
