Ja’Hyde Brown reported an offer from Alabama football after camping in Tuscaloosa and clocking in a 4.48 forty-yard dash.

Brown is a member of the 2027 recruiting class, and he attends Christian Academy of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He holds previous offers from Indiana, Louisville, Vanderbilt and others.

The Kentucky product feels his Alabama offer is an honor for multiple reasons.

“The Alabama offer is great to have, especially with them being the standard of college football,” Brown told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s also an honor because of all of the great wide receivers that have come through their program. It means a lot. But with that being said, I understand that it’s just an offer, and it’s my job to make that offer committable by continuing my high academic standards, continuing to sharpen my skills as a wide receiver and by continuing to build a relationship with the staff.”

The rising prospects went on to give his overall thoughts on Alabama as a program.

“I believe Alabama is top tier when it comes to college football,” Brown said. “I am overly impressed with the winning traditions and their dedication to excellence year in and year out.

At 5-foot-10 and 173 pounds, Brown is an explosive wide receiver, who brings a dynamic skillset to the football field.

“I feel my strength is my versatility,” said Brown. “I can line up inside, outside, in the backfield and I’m very dynamic in the return game. I like to describe myself as a three-level scorer. I can score the ball by catching it, returning it and by running with it. Most of all, I feel I’m very coachable, and I am a team-first type of guy.”
