The action on the field has been physical, but Iowa State fans might be winning the day off it in Dublin.
During Saturday’s Farmageddon matchup against Kansas State at Aviva Stadium, Cyclones supporters constructed an enormous beer snake that stretched all the way up to the stadium’s second level.

The display, made entirely from stacked plastic cups, drew attention throughout the stadium and on social media, where clips quickly circulated. Fans linked cup after cup until the structure stretched across sections of the crowd and climbed to the second deck, earning roars from both Iowa State supporters and neutrals in attendance.
Beer snakes have become a staple at sporting events across the world, but the scale of Iowa State’s effort in Dublin set it apart. With roughly 11,000 Cyclones fans making the trip overseas, the traveling fan base showed off its trademark creativity and energy in a way that resonated well beyond the game itself.
The moment added to an already unique atmosphere in Dublin, where Kansas State and Iowa State split the crowd evenly in Aviva Stadium for the Big 12’s first conference game played in Ireland. On the field, Farmageddon is always intense, but in the stands, Iowa State’s beer snake may go down as one of the day’s most memorable highlights.
