Dwyane Wade has always been a big supporter of the WNBA and the Chicago Sky, which is why he became a minority stakeholder in his hometown franchise. Ahead of the 2025 season, the NBA legend continues to cheer for his team in his own little ways.
More recently, his subtle nod to Sky star Angel Reese didn't go unnoticed by the player herself.
In the latest episode of his "The Wy Network" podcast, which dropped Wednesday, Wade talked about a variety of topics, including why he always joined LeBron James in press conferences throughout their run with the Miami Heat.
Wade revealed that it was his way of showing that their team was united, which he believes was necessary for them to build a championship culture.
"That's why you saw me and LeBron in the press conferences through his journey in Miami," Wade said in a clip shared on Instagram. "We're gonna be hip to hip, bro, because we have a job we have to complete and that's to win championships."

Angel Reese, for her part, saw that Dwyane Wade was wearing a black shirt featuring her logo in Sky colors. She quickly commented on the post, writing "SHIRT" along with a fire emoji.
The WNBA All-Star also took to her Instagram Stories to react to it, once again writing "SHIRT" with several fire emojis. Reese added that she loved what Wade said, noting, "& THE MESSAGE!"
During the 2024 season, Wade and his family were seen attending Sky games and cheering for the team. In fact, Wade's daughter, Kaavia James Union Wade, also became a big fan of Reese during the campaign.
Now, by the looks of it, Wade will continue to be one of the Sky's biggest supporters as they look to contend for the playoffs.

Justin Fields Called 'Biggest Loser' In Jets Training Camp
The New York Jets opted to cut Aaron Rodgers and sign Justin Fields to replace him during the offseason. This kind of commitment to Fields should bolster his confidence, but it could also place a lot of pressure on his shoulders. To this point, Fields has looked solid in training camp, aside from a scary toe injury that was quickly resolved in July. Justin Fried of the Jet Press recently reported that Fields' training camp may have reached a new low over the weekend as the young signal caller struggled. "Justin Fields put together his best practice of the summer to this point on Friday, completing his first 12 passes en route to an excellent all-around performance. The same can't be said about his showing on Saturday, however," Fried wrote. "Fields finished the day an abysmal 2-of-10 in the air, including a drop from rookie tight end Mason Taylor. "Some of his incompletions were catchable balls, but the Jets' passing game struggles on Saturday can largely be blamed on No. 7. Fields did flash his running ability with a 25-yard rushing score on the first play of red-zone drills, but the Jets would like to see more consistency in the air from the starting quarterback. Saturday's scrimmage was far from his best showing of the summer." Fields is a runner first at the NFL level, but his arm is nothing to scoff at. For most of training camp, his arm talent has been better than advertised, but during Saturday's scrimmage, it just wasn't there. A 2 for 10 performance is unacceptable for a $40 million quarterback who was signed to take over the team. The running game should open up the passing game for the Jets, which is going to need to be the case if Fields is going to struggle like this. However, it's just one day of camp. It's nothing to be too concerned about. Just because Fields lost this specific practice doesn't mean he's heading in the wrong direction as a whole.
Triple H provides statement on Seth Rollins' SummerSlam appearance
Night one of SummerSlam 2026 ended with a bang. Seth Rollins came back from what now appears to have been a fake injury, cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase against CM Punk. The WWE fanbase had long postulated the idea of Rollins returning at SummerSlam. His return felt like low-hanging fruit. Yet, despite the expectations, both Punk and Rollins played the situation perfectly. Now, as we head into night two of SummerSlam, there is a new World Heavyweight Champion in town. When speaking at the SummerSlam post-show, Paul "Triple H" Levesque admitted, albeit in kayfabe, that he wasn't pleased with Rollins falsifying injury reports to get the upper hand on Punk. "Seth Rollins is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers," Levesque said. "And he comes out, goes through none of it and takes the World Heavyweight Championship. My hats off to Seth Rollins. That’s a smart way to do business. Not thrilled about bogus medical reports, but we’ll deal with that down the line." Not everyone will be happy with Rollins becoming the new champion. They will feel like Punk was robbed. Or that WWE creative took the easiest route possible. And in truth, they're probably right. However, sometimes the best way to progress a story is to go with the most obvious segue. The fact is, everyone came away from the SummerSlam main event with some form of emotion. The story being told worked; it made people feel. And now, the storyline moves on to how Punk and Rollins — two heated rivals — will move forward. A future title match is all but guaranteed, yet it's the story, week after week, month after month, that will captivate people. WWE used SummerSlam as a jumping-off point, and now, we could see the very best of CM Punk, likely culminating in a main-event title match at WrestleMania 42. So, yes, Rollins' win was a deflating moment for many, but what comes from that moment will keep wrestling fans talking for the next six to 12 months, and that was likely the whole point.
Steelers Could Have Fresh Opportunity To Land Controversial Wide Receiver After Huge Problem Lingers In Miami
The Pittsburgh Steelers have completely revamped the roster going into the 2025 season, but the fan base is still hoping that some more additions can be made. One of the more exciting moves of the offseason was Pittsburgh acquiring DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks, which ultimately played a role in the organization being comfortable enough to par ways with George Pickens. Metcalf is now the top receiver on the roster, but the situation is eerily similar to that of the 2024 season, where the rest of the wide receiver room is full of question marks and some concerns. While the idea of Metcalf is exciting, he needs some help at receiver. The fan base has been excited about the possibility about adding another weapon to the offense, with one of the top options being Terry McLaurin, as he requested a trade amidst his contract dispute with the Washington Commanders. However, there might be some other options, including Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. Hill has been in hot water with Miami ever since the end of the 2024 season, when he essentially gave up on the team. It was a frustrating year for the Dolphins, but his behavior at certain points was inexcusable. Hill made another questionable decision on Friday when he suggested that the coaching staff put in a larger running back in short-yardage situations, and Head Coach Mike McDaniel didn't sound happy about that on Sunday. "I thought it was genius reporting by Tyreek." McDaniel said. "Seeing how we had a short-yardage period that day that you guys were in attendance for. His suggestion was, I guess, were congruent with Coach Studesville. It was exactly how we repped the backs in that short-yardage period that very day. We thought it was funny that he reported the news, that wasn't news, on that practice day." Criticizing coaching decisions to the media is a big no-no in the NFL, especially for a player that is trying to rebuild his trust with his teammates and the organization he represents. Hill is already on a short leash in Miami, and the organization could certainly be open to trading him if these types of antics continue. The veteran wide receiver is coming off of his worst season in the NFL since his rookie year back in 2016. He caught just 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 2024, and while that production is still near the top of the league, it is not what is expected from Hill. Miami had some quarterback issues last season which contributed to the lack of production from the wideout, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility for his time in Miami to be coming to an end. Steelers Could Take A Gamble Looking To Acquire Hill Hill's antics and performance last season should make him a relatively cheap acquisition. He is only under contract through 2026, and whatever team acquires him, or the Dolphins, will have the option to cut him after 2025 for a small dead cap hit. He would certainly be a gamble due to his attitude and the way he has acted over the last year, but there is no doubting his ability to take the top off of a defense and make exciting plays. It would be interesting to see him in Pittsburgh, although the idea may seem farfetched. Would you want to see Hill on the Steelers' roster?

It also marked the end of an era for one of golf’s most revered broadcasters. For the last time, Ian Baker-Finch manned the hole-announcing microphone for CBS Sports, capping 30 years in the booth following a playing career that peaked with his victory at the 1991 Open Championship. Before the day was over, Tiger Woods took to X to salute "Finchy." "Congrats Finchy for 30 incredible years behind the microphone. You brought insight into things that the viewing audience could understand and relate to. From all of us—thanks for the memories."
