Why Army Will Win

It's Army, so of course the ground game keeps on rolling.

It's throwing a little more than normal, but through a few tweaks and changes, the rushing attack is still averaging over 300 yards per game, the team doesn't have a problem with penalties, and few are better at controlling the clock.

But you knew that, because it's Army. That's what it does, and unless it forces a slew of takeaways - more on that in a moment - East Carolina will have a problem stopping what's coming.

Why East Carolina Will Win

The Knights can't stop screwing up - at least for them.

No, the penalties aren't an issue, but three turnovers against Tarleton State and three more against North Texas were a killer. 

The East Carolina defense was a brick wall over the first three games, allowing under two yards per carry by living in the backfield.

That all slowed against BYU, and Army's style overcomes good, aggressive defensive fronts, but the Pirates should win a few battles to keep the Knights from dominating the tempo.

Can East Carolina Force Army Turnovers?

The attacking East Carolina defensive style forced five takeaways in the win over Coastal Carolina, and eight on the season, before BYU was ultra-careful last week. 

Army won't have a rash of turnovers, but it'll struggle a bit to impose its rushing will. It's 1-0 on the road - at Kansas State - and 0-2 in overtime thrillers at home, but the East Carolina defense will hold up with one big takeaway turning the tide late.
