The working relationship between the Big 12 Conference and networks other than ESPN continues to move forward, and this season, TNT and HBO are getting involved.

On Thursday, the league issued a press release stating that TNT would officially broadcast select Big 12 football games this season, along with its fellow television partners, ESPN and FOX.

To build up some hype for the new product, the Big 12 currently has a promotional ad running on TNT and HBO, and it turned out pretty great.

“The 2025 Big 12 Football season marks the beginning of the Conference’s new media package that continues its partnerships with ESPN and FOX while adding TNT Sports to its football portfolio,” the release states. “TNT Sports will now televise an exclusive slate of Big 12 football games starting this fall following an agreement between Warner Bros. Discovery and ESPN last November.”

While ESPN and FOX remain the two largest networks in sports media, establishing a relationship with TNT, known for its legendary coverage of the NBA, can’t hurt the product.

With ESPN bending over backwards for the SEC amid their path toward destroying college football, Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark continues to find new ways to be at the forefront of innovation.

TNT broadcasting select Big 12 football games feels like yet another brick in the wall of stability under Yormark’s reign.
