The Big 12 welcomes four new schools to the conference this year. With the additions of Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, and Colorado, this now marks a 16-team conference. Each school will play nine league games, and the Dr. Pepper Big 12 championship game will continue to reside in Arlington at AT&T Stadium.
TCU will be the first team to kick off Big 12 play when they host UCF in Week 3 on September 14. Television selections for the first three weeks of the season will be made by ESPN and FOX this summer, and times will be announced accordingly.
Some key things to note are the continuation of the rivalry between TCU and Baylor. The Big 12 has granted the two schools the ability to face each other every year. The Horned Frogs will play two of the four newcomers in Arizona and Utah. It will also be the first matchup in Big 12 football against Cincinnati and UCF.
Some other notable Big 12 rivalry matchups include Utah vs BYU, Kansas vs Kansas State, and Arizona vs Arizona State.
