Bo Bichette's impressive season forged ahead with a monster performance on Saturday. Bichette, who continues to display his full repertoire this season, seems to have put last season's disappointing campaign completely behind him.

Bichette has returned to the form that saw him finish in the top-16 in MVP voting for three straight seasons (2021-2023). He's currently on pace to finish with a batting average of at least .300 for the fourth time in his seven MLB seasons.

Behind his stellar play this season, the Toronto Blue Jays are also primed to make a legitimate run at their first World Series since 1993. Bichette, and his Blue Jays, were at the top of their game on Saturday, as the 27-year-old shortstop's four-hit performance pushed his team over the edge, giving them a 7-6 victory over the Miami Marlins, in 12 innings, on Saturday.

Bo Bichette Drives in Game-Winning Run

Bichette's fourth hit of the day would be a game-deciding one, as his go-ahead RBI single drove in George Springer in the twelfth inning.

By finishing with four hits, Bichette took over the league-lead in hits (162) as well as multi-hit games (46).

To go along with his lead in hits and multi-hit games, Bichette is now hitting .302 on the season (fourth) with 39 doubles (second). He's also blasted 16 home runs, driven in 83 runs, and scored 69 runs in 127 games played this season.

While Bichette has played his entire seven-year-career with the Blue Jays, he is currently in the last year of a three-year, $33.6 million deal and will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Will Bichette Play for the Blue Jays Next Season?

If Bichette hits the open market this offseason, he'll be the top-rated shortstop available. He currently possess a WAR of 2.7. Contract negotiations have reportedly stalled between Bichette and the Blue Jays.

For now, Bichette will continue to rack up hits for the American League East leading Blue Jays. They sit atop the division with a record of 76-54. They have the second best record in the AL, only trailing the Detroit Tigers (78-53).

As for Bichette, he'll carry an eight-game hitting-streak into his next game. He and the Blue Jays will take on the Marlins in the final game of their current three-game series on Sunday.
