Boise State made waves this offseason when they landed former USC quarterback Malachi Nelson. The program got another huge addition on Wednesday when former Ole Miss wide receiver Chris Marshall announced he was committing.

Boise State Lands WR Chris Marshall

Marshall is the No. 1 junior college prospect in the country, according to 247Sports.  Last year at Kilgore, he caught 21 passes for 449 yards and five touchdowns. He is not without baggage. Marshall was suspended twice during his freshman year at Texas A&M. Then, at Ole Miss, he was dismissed from the program after violating team rules. The Broncos are hoping Marshall’s time at junior college helped him to mature.

Statement From The Coach

Head coach Spencer Danielson had this to say about Marshall coming to the program.

“We are excited to have Chris join our program and add some depth to our receiver corps. He has tremendous speed, impressive hands and the ability to play at the next level. But more than that, he is a hard-working young man that wants to contribute to this team and win. I look forward to seeing that energy and effort out of him this spring.”

Danielson is excited about what the one-two punch of Nelson and Marshall can bring. Boise State has a history of explosive offenses, and these two players could become the next legends of the program.
