The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the 2025-26 NBA season looking to build off their dominance from last season and claim back-to-back championships.
Of course, the Thunder had a quiet offseason outside of signing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren to max contract, which was to be expected as their entire core from last season is set to return.
Because of this, Oklahoma City enters the new season as the favorite to win the championship once again, though they will have some tough competition in the Western Conference after multiple teams made some major additions to their roster this summer.
On Thursday, the NBA officially revealed the 2025-26 schedule for every team and here are some of the Thunder’s key matchups.
Oklahoma City will begin the season at home on opening night on October 21 where they will raise the championship banner in front of Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets on NBC.
They will then travel to face off against the Indiana Pacers in an NBA Finals rematch on October 23 on ESPN.
The Thunder will begin group player for the Emirates NBA Cup on November 7 on the road against the Sacramento Kings and they will then travel to face the Utah Jazz on November 21.
Oklahoma City will then return home for the final two games of group play as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 26 on ESPN and the Phoenix Suns on November 28.
On Christmas Day, the Thunder will be at home to take on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on ABC before hosting the Portland Trail Blazers on New Year’s Eve.
They will then begin 2026 on the road against the Golden State Warriors on January 2 on Amazon Prime.
Oklahoma City’s final game of the regular season will come on April 12 against the Phoenix Suns just two days after a potentially crucial road matchup against the Denver Nuggets on April 10 on Amazon Prime.
In total, the Thunder will have 34 nationally televised games next season, which is tied for the most in the NBA, as they try to win the West once again and make a run at another championship.
