Fifth win of the year and first on a short track, Brenden “Butterbean” Queen gets the win at Iowa Speedway over Brent Crews. The two drivers and rivals went at each other once again in ARCA Menards Series competition. Queen got the better of the situation.
Brent Crews had an opportunity with a few laps to go. Butterbean Queen got held up by lap traffic. That’s when Crews made a move for the lead. Queen traded some paint with the 18 car and wrestled the lead back.
From there, Queen drove off and secured the win. It was another fantastic and dominant performance from Butterbean, who will once again be looking for the nearest Waffle House to celebrate.

Despite being a short tracker from Virginia, this is the first short track win for Butterbean Queen in ARCA competition. Last week, Brent Crews kind of embarrassed Queen at IRP. This week, he returned the favor in his own way.
That late contact was seriously scary for Queen. Then it became an incident that they both had to save themselves from. It almost opened the door for a late surge from Lawless Alan or Isabella Robusto had the two leaders wrecked or washed up the track.
Daytona, Kansas, Michigan, Dover, and Iowa. Not bad for Butterbean Queen so far this season in the ARCA Menards Series. The thing is, he could have had more wins this season based on his laps led stats. He led the most laps at Phoenix and got pushed aside in overtime by Crews for that win. He also led the most laps at Elko and IRP.
It was a great fight between these two, young drivers. The last two seasons, the Pinnacle Racing Group Chevy team has been a great foil to the usual Venturini/Joe Gibbs Racing dominance. Toyota has owned ARCA in the last few years and it is nice to see that not be the case this season.
Butterbean Queen is a great racer. He’s cut his teeth on short tracks like Langley Speedway and the CARS Tour circuit. He was fantastic tonight on this short track in Iowa. Meanwhile, Crews and Queen are likely going to run into each other more and more down the line.
Speaking of Crews, he is starting a new Truck Series organization. He will race the No. 70 truck at the Watkins Glen race next weekend. This has led to a bit of confusion as to who is involved and a couple of other drivers have had to release statements as a result.
Next up for the ARCA Menards Series is the Glen. Then it is dirt racing at the Illinois State Fiar followed by Madison International Speedway. It is going to be a wild end to this ARCA season, folks.
