The New York Giants are now well into their second week of training camp, and while the roster features a promising mix of youth and experience, there's growing pressure on the team to rebound from last season’s disappointing 3-14 finish.

One intriguing rookie to watch is Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo, a standout in 2024 who helped lead the Sun Devils to the College Football Playoff.

However, Skattebo has been managing a hamstring injury early in camp. After missing two straight practices, the team brought him back on Friday—but head coach Brian Daboll revealed Saturday that the move may have been premature, as Skattebo reportedly suffered a “setback.”

Fans reacted to the news:

"Hopefully it really is day to day and doesn't turn into week to week," a fan said.

Someone else added, "Dang, was off to a nice start in camp. Rest up king."

Another person wrote, "Giants ruin all good things."

"Giants down bad worst team in the nfl," one more fan commented.

Daboll noted that Skattebo is still considered day-to-day but is likely to miss some time. With over a month remaining until Week 1 of the regular season, there’s no urgency to rush him back into action.

Currently, Skattebo is listed as the No. 3 running back on the depth chart, behind expected starter Tyron Tracy Jr. and veteran Devin Singletary.

While the injury isn’t considered serious, Skattebo’s availability for the Giants’ preseason opener next week against the Buffalo Bills is now in question.
