The Cleveland Browns announced on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday which jersey numbers their rookies will wear this season.
Third-round quarterback Dillon Gabriel will don No. 5.
With the UCF Knights, Gabriel wore No. 11. The signal-caller represented No. 8 while playing for the Oklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks.
Both of those numbers, though, were already taken on the Browns roster. Fellow quarterback Kenny Pickett is No. 8 for Cleveland while veteran cornerback Tony Brown II is No. 11.
Gabriel will be the only Browns rookie with a single-digit number this season. Fellow rookie signal-caller Shedeur Sanders will wear No. 12.
In addition to the quarterbacks, Cleveland announced Tuesday what numbers the team's other five draft picks will wear this summer.
The Browns are adding Gabriel and Sanders to a quarterback room with Pickett, Joe Flacco and Deshaun Watson. However, Watson is expected to miss the entire 2025 season because of injury.
Gabriel has been predicted to start the offseason as the team's No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart. The Browns selected Gabriel at No. 94 overall in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Cleveland then grabbed Sanders with its final 2025 pick, after trading up in the fifth round, at No. 144 overall.
