The Cleveland Browns traded down from the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they were still able to get one of the best players in the class in Michigan's Mason Graham.
In a recent article by PFF's Trevor Sikkema, he picks some of the rookies that are in the best situation when it comes to learning from a veteran on their new team. One of the players he mentions is Mason Graham, as he will be learning from one of the best edge rushers of the generation...
Myles Garrett.
"Since 2018, the Browns have never had another player record double-digit sacks," Sikkema wrote. "Graham might not be a top-tier pass rusher yet, but he is a presence on the defensive line that at least should draw some attention away from Garrett. He earned an 86.8 PFF pass-rush grade against true pass sets in 2024 at Michigan."
Graham had just 3.5 sacks in his final season with the Wolverines, but he will be learning from one of the best of the generation when it comes to getting to the quarterback.
Garrett is a menace to opposing field generals, and has tallied double-digit sacks in all but one of the seasons he has been in the NFL. He also led the NFL in tackles for loss in 2024 with 22, which was one of the biggest factors that led to him being named First Team All-Pro.
Being the No. 5 overall pick, Graham has a lot of eyes on him in his rookie season. But who better than to teach him than someone like Garrett who was the No. 1 pick in his own draft.
