Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie safety Shilo Sanders made a good first impression in front of head coach Todd Bowles during the first few weeks of offseason workouts.

Sanders, 25, showed excellent leadership and intelligence to make solid plays, according to a Sports Illustrated report. He even showed professionalism during a press conference by shaking hands with the media personnel, which some believe he learned from his father and former college coach at Colorado, Deion Sanders.

“Like the rest of the safeties, he’s very intelligent, he’s very loud,” Bowles said. “You can hear him, making calls and everything, so he has a good grasp of things [from] Day 1.”

Sanders also got to play defense against the Buccaneers' wide receivers, and one player was quite challenging to defend.

“Who’s the toughest receiver you’ve practiced against? Y’all know Mike Evans over there, right,” Sanders said during a recent livestream on his Twitch channel.

Furthermore, the team shared their reaction to his remarks in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “MK13 = A Living Legend ,” the Buccaneers wrote in the caption of a video showing some of Evans' career highlights.

Buccaneers fans would agree as Evans has become the franchise's all-time leader in receptions, receiving touchdowns, receiving yards, points scored and total touchdowns. He has recorded at least 1,000 receiving yards in all 11 seasons in the league.

Last season, Evans had  74 receptions for 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns in 14 games. He missed three games after sustaining a hamstring injury against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.
