Going into the 2025 NFL Draft, there was certainly a belief that Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders could be a late-round selection for teams looking to add depth.
Though that never became a reality, and instead of hearing his name called, he would sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on a three-year, $2.9 million contract.
Now, Sanders finds himself as a regular participant at the team's offseason workouts and practices, posting a few photos of himself in action with the caption "#Headachegang CEO @buccaneers."
Of course, that's a term he's used since college to describe what opposing offenses feel when facing him, and it even caught the attention of the Buccaneers, who commented three fire emojis.
It's clear that during his time with the Buccaneers so far, he's made a strong impression, and while talking to the media, three-time Pro Bowl safety Antoine Winfield Jr. had some high praise for Sanders.
"He plays hard," Winfield said. "He works hard. He really wants to learn and he just wants to improve his game so that's something that you admire from somebody coming in who wants to learn and actually play this game."
Of course, throughout his two seasons with Colorado, he showed a true ability to put up strong numbers, appearing in 21 games, accumulating 137 tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, five pass deflections and five forced fumbles.
Now, it will remain to be seen if he can continue that kind of success for the Buccaneers, as Sanders not only fights for playing time, but also a spot on the 53-man roster, which will be finalized by Aug. 27.
