The Ohio State Buckeyes have been searching for a quarterback in the 2026 class for quite some time. It's possible that search is approaching a conclusion.

Four-star quarterback Luke Fahey told On3's Alex Gleitman that he will see the Buckeyes on an official visit in June.

Fahey previously described Ohio State as "a dream school" and did again Wednesday.

”The relationship has been going well,” Fahey said. “I’m taking my official visit there June 20-22. That’s one of my dream schools. To be able to go see it is crazy.”

The Buckeyes have yet to make the quarterback an offer, but signs indicate there's chemistry between Fahey and Ohio State.

”They want to see me and meet me in person before any of that (offering) happens, is what I was told,” said Fahey. “They would definitely be a contender (if they offered).”

Gleitman suggested Wednesday that the Stanford Cardinal and Indiana Hoosiers are Ohio State's biggest competition for Fahey.

The quarterback has also received offers from at least 20 other schools, including the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and Syracuse Orange.

The Buckeyes are entering Memorial Day weekend with the No. 3-ranked 2026 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. But Ohio State doesn't have a quarterback committed in the class.

Ohio State has pursued 2026 top 10 quarterback prospect Bowe Bentley, but pundits have predicted Bentley to commit to the LSU Tigers.

Based on the 247 Sports composite rankings, Fahey is the No. 23 quarterback and No. 355 overall recruit in the 2026 class.
