More than 99% of the tickets for BYU's upcoming game against Texas Tech have been sold. Lavell Edwards Stadium seats 63,470 people and, as of Tuesday evening, less than 600 single game tickets remained for Saturday's game between the Cougars and the Red Raiders. If this game sells out, it will be the second consecutive sellout for BYU. The crowd against Cincinnati was a sellout and represented the largest crowd at a BYU home game since 2009.

The game against Texas Tech is BYU's first conference home game against a legacy Big 12 member. It's also the first matchup between BYU and Texas Tech in over 80 years. BYU and Texas Tech have faced each other only one time ever - in 1940. Texas Tech beat BYU 21-20.

It's also a pivotal game on BYU's schedule. If BYU wins, it will hit the road with a 5-2 record and the opportunity to take on a ranked Texas team. If BYU loses to Texas Tech, BYU's path to bowl eligibility becomes a little murky. In that scenario, BYU would either have to win a conference road game or beat Oklahoma at home to reach bowl eligibility.

Both teams are looking to rebound after tough losses last week. The Cougars come into this game with a 4-2 record and they're coming off a blowout loss to TCU. Texas Tech is coming off a loss to Kansas State.

The Cougars kick off against Texas Tech on Saturday evening at 5 PM Mountain Time.
