On Thursday, BYU running back Miles Davis entered the transfer portal according to On3Sports. Davis, a Las Vegas native, spent four years with the BYU football program as a running back. In four seasons, Davis finished with 392 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Davis was BYU's fourth-string running back this season behind Aidan Robbins, Deion Smith, and LJ Martin. In 2022, Davis emerged as BYU's starting running back for a few games before suffering an injury.

Thanks to the COVID season in 2020 and a redshirt season in 2021, Davis still has two years of eligibility remaining. He will likely look to land at a school where he can get more playing time.

The Transfer Window

The transfer portal window officially opened on Monday. Until Monday, only graduate transfers and players whose coaches had left their current programs could enter the transfer portal. From December 4, 2023 to January 2, 2024, the transfer portal will be open to everyone. Every college football program in the country can expect to lose at least a few players to the portal. BYU will be no exception.
