In a thrilling Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday evening, the Indiana Pacers edged out the New York Knicks 138–135 in overtime at Madison Square Garden in New York City, taking a 1–0 series lead.

The game was a showcase of strong offense from both teams. Knicks star player Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with an impressive 43 points, while center Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 35 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. Meanwhile, Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton scored 31 points and 11 assists, while Aaron Nesmith added 30 points, including six three-pointers during overtime. Obi Toppin delivered a pivotal dunk that helped seal their victory.

Facing a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Pacers had a remarkable comeback to take that 1–0 series lead. Though the Knicks had opportunities to tie or win the game, they were unable to do so and the Pacers ended up outscoring the Knicks 13–10.

Many fans celebrated the Pacers' win, including Indiana Fever's star player, Caitlin Clark. The guard reposted the Pacers' official announcement on her Instagram story on Wednesday night, immediately after Game 1 was over.

Though Clark is not from Indiana, the Iowa alum has seemed to embrace their local sports culture, and her support didn’t go unnoticed. Fans were quick to notice the mutual love and support between Indiana’s WNBA and NBA teams.

"CAN’T COUNT US OUT ," the Pacers wrote on their official Instagram. "#PacersWin."

Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals will take place on Friday at Madison Square Garden again at 8 p.m. ET.
