Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James just completed his 22nd season in the NBA. Now 40 years old, James faces a decision this offseason on his basketball future. While all signs point toward him returning for a 23rd year, James has yet to make an official decision on his $52.6 million player option for the 2025-26 season.
As he mulls over his future, the NBA's all-time leading scorer made an appearance at Fanatics Fest in New York on Saturday. He was joined by former league MVP Steve Nash, who James co-hosts the Mind the Game podcast with. Among other things, the duo hosted a live episode of their show.
While at Fanatics Fest, James shared some news on Instagram. The Lakers star has been working on a custom Richard Mille watch that he finally showed off. According to James, the piece is one of just 150.
"Had to debut this special @richardmillie piece we’ve been working on at Fanatics Fest for all y’all to see!!" he began. "01/150!!! Thank you to the incredible team for the opportunity to bring this to life, the unbelievable details, storytelling, and purpose behind this watch."
James tallied over 150,000 likes and 2,100 comments in the first 30 minutes his post was up. Among those to react was Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark, who liked the post.
Clark and James have spoken very highly of one another. A regular supporter of Clark, James has often defended her from criticism. Additionally, Clark is on the record multiple times calling James the greatest player in NBA history.
Both players entered their respective leagues as No. 1 overall picks with immense expectations.
