Caitlin Clark sat out for a 16th straight game on Tuesday night as the Indiana Fever hosted the Seattle Storm in a crucial matchup that had significant playoff implications. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year appears to be making significant progress in her road to recovery from a groin injury, but Clark currently still has no timetable for her return to action.
With the former Iowa star cheering from the bench, the Fever secured a huge 95-75 win against the Storm. This was Indiana’s first victory in three games, which improved its standing to 20-18 on the season.
More importantly, Tuesday’s victory saw the Fever climb two spots in the rankings to No. 6, surpassing the Storm, who are now eighth in the WNBA at 20-19.
The cameras caught Clark’s instant reaction to the victory as the 23-year-old made her way to the locker room after the final buzzer. The Fever superstar uttered four words to the camera to express her delight in Tuesday’s result.
"Big dub. Let's go!" she said.
"It's giving sweep."

It was Aliyah Boston who led the charge for Indiana in this one with a game-high 27 points and nine rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell chipped in with 21 points, while mid-season recruit Odyssey Sims went off for a Fever career-high 22 points.
The Fever showed out on the same night that Clark debuted her new Nike logo. The two-time All-Star was officially introduced as Nike’s latest signature athlete on Monday. It was also revealed that Clark’s logo collection, which will feature T-shirts, hoodies and shorts, will be made available by September and October in two separate launches. The former first-overall pick’s signature shoe and apparel collection, however, will drop in 2026.
"Nike's signature roster features all-time greats, and I am incredibly proud to join some of the best athletes in the world," Clark said in a release. "I'm excited to share a first look at what we've started to create together.
"To me, this is more than just a logo, it's a dream come true. People always talk about leaving your mark on the game -- and this is another way I can do that."
The Fever showed their full support for Clark by adorning Gainbridge Fieldhouse with the new CC signature logo on Tuesday night. This included free T-shirts for the fans, which were distributed throughout the arena and placed on the seats.
Indiana players also rallied behind Clark by wearing T-shirts featuring the new logo. More importantly, they took care of business on the basketball court on Clark’s big night.
