Cardinals Players Were HYPED after They Drafted Marvin Harrison Jr.
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Without any trade offers that piqued their interest, the Arizona Cardinals opted to use their #4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to select Marvin Harrison Jr.

Last season, the Cardinals boasted the fourth-best run offense in the NFL in terms of rushing yards per game. Adding Harrison Jr. could propel them into the top-10 overall rankings.

Naturally, players were hyped after the pick was made official.

Kyler Murray maybe more than anyone, as he now has a new weapon to throw to.

Former Ohio State Buckeye and last year’s Cardinals’ first-round pick, Paris Johnson Jr., expressed his excitement on social media about reuniting with his college teammate.

Teammates such as tight end Trey McBride, safety Budda Baker, plus linebackers Dennis Gardeck and Zaven Collins also shared their enthusiasm on X.

In the 2023 season, Harrison Jr. delivered what could only be described as video game numbers, racking up 1,211 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, with an average of just over 18 yards per reception.

The Cardinals wide receiver room now includes Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson, and of Marvin Harrison Jr.

The last time the Cardinals drafted a receiver with a top-5 pick in the draft was when they selected Larry Fitzgerald 3rd overall in 2004.
