The University of Louisville men’s golf team is set to kick off their spring season at the Sea Best Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will feature a 15-team field, highlighted by defending national champion Florida.

The Gators are not only the defending national champions but are also the two-time defending champions of the Sea Best Invitational. They will be the team to beat at the TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley Course.

Joining Florida and the host Dolphins in the field are teams such as the University of North Florida, UCF, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Texas-San Antonio, and more.

The Cardinals have announced their lineup for the tournament, with Sebastian Moss leading the way as the number one player. He had an impressive fall campaign, winning back-to-back tournaments and becoming the first player in school history to do so. Moss is currently ranked 12th nationally and has a stroke average of 70.06.

Max Kennedy, who finished second on the team in stroke average during the fall with a 72.40, will be the number two player for the Cardinals. He also recorded a top-10 finish in the previous season.

After a successful fall season, the Cardinals are looking to continue their momentum into the spring. They finished with two second-place finishes and a fourth-place finish in their previous tournaments.

The team will have a chance to test themselves against top competition next month when they compete in the Prestige, hosted by Stanford in LaQuinta, California from February 19-21.

The Sea Best Invitational will be an important tournament for the Cardinals to gauge their performance and compete against some of the best teams in the country.
