GLENDALE – General manager Monti Ossenfort continues the mission to beef up the defensive front by signing another defensive lineman as an undrafted free agent. The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of former Tulane and TCU defensive lineman Patrick Jenkins. To make room for Jenkins the team will release defensive end Ben Stile, who signed with the Cardinals’ practice squad last year.

Cardinals media relations on Jenkins:

“Jenkins (6-2, 293) is an undrafted rookie free agent who spent the last three years at Tulane (2022-24) after spending his first two collegiate seasons at TCU (2020-21). Overall, he appeared in 58 games with 133 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks, two passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. Jenkins was a first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection in each of the past two seasons and led the Green Wave with 4.5 sacks in 2024. Jenkins will wear jersey number #90.”

The 23-year-old led Tulane in his final two collegiate season in sacks and tackles for loss. During his three-year career with the Green Wave, Jenkins recorded 13 sacks and 28 tackles loss. He stands at 6’2 but has a wide frame that makes hard to ignore when he’s going after the ball.

Jenkins will join fellow rookie Walter Nolen in the defensive line, as well as veterans like Calais Campbell and Dalvin Tomlinson. The depth for the interior defensive line is stacked with last-year Cardinals’ first-round pick Darius Robinson returning from injuries. Jenkins could look to earn a spot on Arizona’s practice squad as the young lineman still has potential to make an NFL roster.
