In a highly competitive race at the ACC Cross Country Championships, the University of Louisville cross country teams put forth a strong effort in Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday morning. Despite facing tough competition, both the men’s and women’s teams gave it their all.

The women’s team finished 13th overall, with Rylee Penn leading the way for the second consecutive meet. Penn completed the 6K course with an impressive time of 20:56.8. Layla Roebke followed closely behind, finishing with a time of 21:27.5. It was also a noteworthy race for Amy Harding-Delooze, who entered the scoring five for the first time this season and clocked a respectable time of 21:31.0. Lexie Paszkiewicz finished in 21:35.0, and Maddie Seaby rounded out the Louisville scorers with a time of 21:49.2.

On the men’s side, Innocent Ntwali once again led the way for the Cardinals. Ntwali completed the 8K course in a remarkable time of 25:03.5. Forest MacKenzie followed closely, finishing with a time of 25:14.3. Jack Stansell crossed the line in 25:16.4, with Ethan Meyer not far behind at 25:19.6. Nicky Alexander contributed to the team’s efforts, finishing fifth for the team in 25:52.6. The men’s team placed 14th overall.

Looking ahead, the Cardinals will have a brief break before returning to the course in two weeks for the NCAA Southeast Regional on November 10. The event will be hosted by USC Upstate at Miliken Research Park in Spartanburg, S.C. It will provide another opportunity for the teams to showcase their talents and potentially qualify for the NCAA Championships.
