Carmelo Anthony added, “We haven’t seen her, what she can do, in a long time. We’ve seen women score the ball, we’ve seen women rebound, we’ve seen Lisa Leslie do what she do, we’ve seen Cynthia Cooper do what she do, Sheryl Swoopes… Candace Parker was something we haven’t seen since we’ve saw Lisa Leslie… She’s doing what Candace was doing, and adding [skills] that are different.”

“She deserves it. I just think that the resume that she’s putting together right now, the way she’s leading women, the way she’s leading black women, her voice is powerful, it’s impactful. My daughter looks up to A’ja Wilson and the Angel Reese’s of the world. So you’re doing something. You’re impacting households…A’ja is different…She’s the face of women’s sports. It doesn’t get greater than that.”

Her accolades speak for themselves. “Her case is too deep,” commentators noted, referencing A’ja’s trophy case, which includes multiple championships, MVP awards, DPOY awards, and many more astonishing achievements. “She’s in a league of her own.”
