Jake Paul could be in real trouble against one particular fighter, says Chael Sonnen.
On November 14, 2025, ‘The Problem Child’ will battle it out with Gervonta Davis inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
The bout has received a mixed reaction from the boxing community, with some criticizing the YouTuber for facing someone so much smaller, whereas Paulie Malignaggi has slammed Davis because Paul isn’t on his level.
Regardless of who the favorite is, ‘The American Gangster’ would much rather see the social media star in with someone else.
Chael Sonnen believes Jake Paul vs Darren Till would be a very interesting fight.
And by the sounds of things, he believes ‘The Gorilla’ would get the edge.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, he said: “I really like the idea of Darren Till vs Jake Paul.
“Jake Paul turns out to be good, but I think Darren does something a little more special with his combinations. I think he does something more special with his setups. That would be an interesting fight.
“Jake could beat Darren, but Darren could beat Jake, too. That’s a very competitive, and close, at least on paper, matchup, and I hope you guys give that some consideration.
“When he goes out there and Darren puts Luke Rockhold down, that’s a really hard thing to do. His understanding of range, and not to mention, he can turn range into power, because he can keep his distance, and he’s got precision. He is good.
“When he can overcome those voices, if it’s just going to be my skills vs yours, forget whose father did this or whose mother loved us more when we were children, if I can just make this about what I know vs what you know, Darren Till is going to beat you, because Darren Till, very simply put, is really good.”
Paul vs Till would undeniably excite the fans.
However, at least for now, the only fight to focus on is the one with Davis.
Daniel Cormier recently gave his thoughts on the clash, with the two-weight UFC champion not holding back.
Opening up, Cormier gave a surprising opinion about Paul vs Davis.
