A high-profile felony case involving forged Jason Kelce memorabilia has seen its conclusion.
According to Will Stern of CLLCT.com, the Montgomery County District Attorney in Pennsylvania has filed motions with the Court of Common Pleas to withdraw the charges against defendants Joseph Parenti and Leann Branco. Per the report, the motion shows that detectives have obtained evidence that neither Branco nor Parenti were co-conspirators in the scheme.
However, Robert Capone, the third defendant in the case, is still being charged.
“We always continue investigating after arrest, and in this case, new evidence showed that Joseph Parenti and Leann Branco were not part of and had no knowledge of Robert Capone’s fraud scheme regarding the forged Jason Kelce memorabilia,” a spokesperson for the DA's office told CLLCT.

At the time that the charges were filed, Parenti and Branco were believed to have conspired with Capone to forge over 1,000 pieces of memorabilia with Kelce's fake signature.
Beckett Authentication filed a lawsuit against Branco and Parenti as Branco was an independent contractor working with them.
A spokesperson for Parenti told CLLCT that they were happy to have been "cleared of any wrongdoing. Parenti said that they "deeply regret" doing business with Overtime Promotions, the company run by Capone.
“I am pleased to share the legal charges filed earlier this year related to an autograph signing event in Montgomery against myself and Diamond Legends have been officially withdrawn, and we have been cleared of any wrongdoing.”
“When Mr. Parenti became aware that there may be issues with the authenticity of the memorabilia in question, he pulled it from the marketplace. Mr. Parenti deeply regrets entering into a business arrangement with Overtime Promotions based in Philadelphia.”
Beckett Authentication has pledged to refund customers to the tune of $250,000 for the forged merchandise.
