Tackle-guard versatility but best at guard. Dominated at Holy Cross for 3 years before moving to MSU. Sturdy anchor, wide base, good pad level. pic.twitter.com/tBzddMUw9U
Newman recorded an elite Relative Athletic Score of 9.69, boasting adequate size with great explosion, speed, and agility. He just turned 23 years old.
Over his five-year college career, Newman played in 52 games, starting 49 straight between Holy Cross and Michigan State. At Holy Cross, he was a dominant left tackle, earning multiple All-America honors and three First-Team All-Patriot League selections while helping lead one of the most productive offenses in the FCS. After graduating with a degree in economics, he transferred to Michigan State in 2024, where he started all 12 games at left guard and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition.
Throughout his career, Newman actively participated in high-powered rushing attacks. Despite beginning his career during a COVID-shortened season, he developed into a reliable, technically sound lineman praised for his football IQ, work ethic, and durability.
