The Chicago Sky are in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon looking for their first win of the 2025 WNBA season. Facing a 1-3 LA Sparks team that finished last in the Western Conference a year ago, Chicago has a good opportunity to get in the win column.
Ahead of this game, the Sky announced an injury report that included a new addition. Moriah Jefferson, who has yet to make her season debut, was unsurprisingly ruled out with a leg injury. Alongside her on the injury report was rookie guard Hailey Van Lith, who was listed questionable to play with an ankle injury ( h/t ESPN).
Speaking with reporters prior to Sunday's contest, Sky head coach Tyler Marsh announced that Van Lith will be sidelined against Los Angeles. It will be the first injury absence of her WNBA career.
"Coach Marsh mentions that Hailey Van Lith will be out today against LA," Chicago State of Mind Sports reported on X.

Van Lith has appeared in both of Chicago's games this season, tallying four minutes in the opening night loss to the Indiana Fever and 15 minutes against the New York Liberty. Showing some impressive flashes against Indiana, albeit once the game was already decided, Van Lith converted on both of her field goal attempts.
It was a different story against New York, as the former TCU guard went 0-for-4 from the field. She did add six assists off the bench, which led the team. Unfortunately, Van Lith's third WNBA appearance will have to wait.
Van Lith was seen getting shots up on Sunday, but there is no update for her status against the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday (via Chicago State of Mind Sports).
