Exeter Chiefs have secured the services of talented Dan John, who has committed to staying at Sandy Park.

The former Welsh youth international, known for his versatility and powerful kicking game, is eager to make a powerful impact after injury woes.

John, who joined the Chiefs Academy from Milifield in the 2020/2021 season, expressed his excitement about extending his stay, emphasizing the strong bond within the team and their shared ambition for future success.

“It feels brilliant staying at the club. I’m really excited to enjoy another season with the boys, and it’s a pleasure to resign with this club,” John said.

His journey to Exeter was sparked by impressive performances for Wales at the youth level, catching the eye of the Chief’s Scouts.

He developed his skills while playing for the University of Exeter rugby team, contributing to their BUCS championship victory.

Despite his injury setbacks, John has proven his worth by being in the starting team in the Chiefs 2022/2023 Premiership Rugby Cup triumph.

Director Box Baxter, in a statement, believes John will play a crucial role in the team’s future as he has always shone when given a chance and is ready to support him in fulfilling his full potential.

“It's great to have Dan staying at Chiefs, he has always done well when we’ve selected him, we expect him to play a big role in seasons, he is an important player for us with his versatility,” Baxter said.

John, being a versatile player, has the ability to cover multiple positions, and the team’s management believes the best is yet to come from him.
