Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has continued to show his support for NBA legend LeBron James and his philanthropic efforts in a meaningful way.
On the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Kelce was seen wearing a special "We Are Family x ILTHY" limited edition cap, a gesture that proved his commitment to supporting James' charitable work.
According to ILTHY, the cap supports the LeBron James Family Foundation, which helps kids and families in James' hometown of Akron, Ohio.
The proceeds from the sales of the hats go toward funding educational programs and other initiatibes that uplift the Akron community.
The gesture came just days after James congratulated Kelce on social media for setting a new NFL record.
In the Chiefs' recent victory over the Houston Texans, Kelce achieved his ninth 100-yard receiving game in the playoffs, breaking the record held by the legendary Jerry Rice.
James took to X to celebrate the milestone.
"Congrats brother!! NFL record for most 100 rec yard games(9)," James wrote.
His brother, former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, brought up LeBron James' post, and Travis Kelce was visibly excited about the recognition.
"Now, see, this got me going, this was great," Travis Kelce said.
Despite his excitement, the Chiefs tight end clarified that individual records are not his main focus.
"All these stats and accolades and everything, they'll be cool when I'm done playing."
Jason Kelce chimed in, acknowledging his brother's dedication to the team goals. However, he pointed out that James clearly cared about the record.
"This is why LeBron's stats matter, because LeBron tweets about you."
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs are now preparing for a crucial AFC championship showdown against the Buffalo Bills. With their eyes set on making NFL history by winning three consecutive Super Bowls, the team remains focused on the bigger picture.
