Chris Jericho credits a certain type of mentality with WWE bringing back CM Punk.

Speaking in a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, the AEW star revealed that he wasn't shocked that Triple H and WWE picked up the recently terminated Punk to make a return.

"I mean it’s the Vince [McMahon] attitude. Like if you can make money with somebody then you bring them back. He brought back the nWo, he brought Bischoff in."

Chris Jericho understands that Vince McMahon is no longer in control, but Triple H is, and he's sat under the McMahon learning tree.

"But Triple H learned from Vince once again and the fans, keeping the fans entertained and happy man look, he came back and it was the highest viewed social media segment that they've ever had. So once right out of the gate, it was a benefit to them. So it didn't surprise me."

Notable Names That Vince McMahon Has Brought Back To WWE In The Name Of Business

To Chris Jericho's point, Vince McMahon has been notorious at bringing names back he's had tension with in the past. Not only did he bring back Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan as the NWO, the faction that nearly caused the fall of WWE, but Bischoff, the orchestrator of it all too.

Bret Hart was one of the biggest names Vince McMahon had heat with whom many thought would never return, but sure enough, he did back in 2010, to even have a WrestleMania match against the man who di him wrong in the Montreal Screwjob.

Two other big names of name of nothe that were brought back, greatly in part to the aforementioned Triple H was Bruno Sammartino and Ultimate Warrior, both of which received WWE Hall Of Fame inductions.
