City of Oakland, California, agreed Tuesday to sell its share of Raiders' old facility in Alameda, California
Robert Edwards-USA TODAY Sports

If you have been on Twitter as of late, you have likely seen the trend of Las Vegas Raiders fans sharing photos they took of the Raiders' former home in Oakland, California.

This trend started because of some recent news with the Stadium in Oakland.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the city of Oakland is selling its share of the Raiders' old facility in Alameda and the facility will go to the owners of Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul soccer teams.

The Raiders moved to Las Vegas in 2020 and left Oakland again. Since then, things have been going well for them financially. As for their home roommates, the Oakland Athletics, they should soon be in Las Vegas as well.

This means we are officially nearing the end of the Oakland era for both teams. There is so much history in the stadium for both franchises, and now it will be filled with two new soccer teams.
