Clark Lea spoke to the media after the game about losing to LSU.
Opening Statement
“Disappointing outcome. I was proud of our kids. I thought the attitude was right. I thought we started the right way, everything you talked about in terms of getting the stop early there and setting up the touchdown so I was really proud of that. I just didn't think we played well enough through the middle of the game…I felt like we needed to score touchdowns in this game to win it and so in the end, you gotta credit LSU. Credit the fact that they made the plays that they needed to make and we didn't…I'm proud of the fight. I'm proud of the effort but we’ve got to play better football to win in the SEC and to win on the road. That’s just the reality… We’re committed to turning the page, not allowing this game to linger and shifting our focus to a really good Tennessee team and finishing the regular season out at home.”
Coach, you guys passed a lot early in the game. Was that part of the game plan?
Clark: We wanted to try to get the ball on the perimeter and in the secondary. That was part of us trying to attack them and their tactics and what they do.
